We carry the size 32 grinder plates in two styles - Dual Faced or Hub. Both are made of hardened tool steel and are 58-60 hardness. We can provide them notched, 1 side flat or 2 sides flat.
The Dual Faced plates allow you to use both sides of the plate thus giving twice the service as a hub plate. Dual Faced Grinding Plates are thinner than Hub Plates and are found on most grinders. Dual Faced Grinder Plates will have a thickness of at least 7/16" and are made of tool steel. They come with 3 notches or can be ordered with 1 side flat or 2 sides flat.
If you use the grinder everyday it is better to use a Hub plate. Also the hub provides a "handle" for easier removal of the plate. Hub Style Grinding Plates are the thickest plates available and are use on high production grinders & mixer grinders. Hub plates will have a thickness of at least 1/2" and are made of tool steel. They come with 3 notches or can be ordered with 1 side flat or 2 sides flat.
